Job description
The job holder will coordinate all activities, including but not limited to family planning/MCH service delivery, outreaches, capacity strengthening, mentorship, community mobilization, stock status monitoring and redistribution, data management and reporting, in the allocated districts/cluster. The Service Delivery and Supply Chain (SD & SC) Officers will co-locate with District Health Teams to ensure alignment of activities and open communication and collaboration. They will also engage with health facility in-charges and medicine management supervisors to support commodity and supply chain management and support data management activities within the district/cluster. They will participate in district activities and engagements to ensure alignment and minimize duplication. They will follow up on district/cluster engagements as assigned to mitigate fraud, ensure accurate, comprehensive and timely submission of requests, and support documentation for payments of district stakeholders.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Degree in Medicine & Registered with the Uganda Medical & Dental Practitioners CounsilMPH or related public health
- policy management course is an added advantage
- Six (6) years of experience in Maternal/child health service delivery three (3) of which should be donor funded project work within the district health system.
- Experience in coordinating supply chain at district or regional level is a requirement.
- Excellent understanding of the national and district health systems.
