Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw video footage into high-quality content for marketing, social media, websites, ads, and other platforms.
- Add graphics, sound, music, dialogue, and effects to enhance video storytelling.
- Collaborate with creative teams, producers, and clients to understand project requirements.
- Review scripts, storyboards, and shot lists to plan editing approaches.
- Apply color correction, sound design, and motion graphics where needed.
- Organize and manage media files, ensuring efficient workflows and version control.
- Stay current with editing techniques, video trends, and platform-specific best practices.
- Meet project deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Video Editor or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Avid Media Composer.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.
- Knowledge of audio mixing, color grading, and basic motion graphics.
- Ability to follow creative direction and adapt to project feedback.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- A portfolio or demo reel showcasing previous video work.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
- Experience with motion graphics tools (Adobe After Effects).
- Knowledge of animation, 3D tools, or visual effects.
- Familiarity with social media content formats (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube).
- Experience working in fast-paced or agency environments.
- Understanding of cameras, lighting, and production setup.
Work Environment
- May work independently or as part of a production or marketing team.
- Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple ongoing projects.
- Collaboration with directors, producers, designers, and clients.
