We are building a modern logistics ecosystem that leverages technology to connect port operations, freight movement, and digital trade efficiently across East Africa and global markets.


Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

  •  Develop and implement the company’s vision, mission, and long-term strategic plan aligned with regional trade and logistics trends.
  •  Lead business model innovation, integrating shipping, port logistics, and e-commerce fulfillment into a unified service ecosystem.
  •  Oversee corporate planning, risk management, and performance tracking against growth objectives.

2. Operations & Service Delivery

  •  Supervise daily operations across port handling, warehousing, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and last-mile delivery.
  •  Ensure efficiency, compliance, and service quality within all operational frameworks.
  •  Drive technology adoption—digital freight platforms, tracking systems, and online fulfillment portals.

3. Business Development & Partnerships

  •  Build and manage strategic partnerships with shipping lines, port authorities, customs agencies, e-commerce platforms, and logistics service providers.
  •  Identify new business opportunities, routes, and trade corridors within East Africa and globally.
  •  Develop strong B2B and B2C service pipelines through integrated online platforms and alliances.

4. Financial Management

  •  Oversee financial performance, profitability, and cash flow management.
  •  Lead fundraising, capital structuring, and investor relations.
  •  Drive cost optimization and pricing strategies to maintain competitive advantage.

5. People & Culture

  •  Build and lead a high-performing management team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
  •  Oversee talent acquisition, leadership development, and staff performance management.
  •  Promote operational excellence, health & safety, and ethical standards across all units.

6. Digital Transformation

  •  Oversee development and adoption of the company’s e-commerce logistics platform, ensuring seamless customer experience and system integration.
  •  Drive automation, analytics, and AI-driven logistics forecasting to enhance efficiency and visibility.


Qualifications & Experience

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  •  Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
  •  Minimum 10 years’ senior leadership experience in shipping, ports logistics, or freight management, with at least 5 years in an executive management role.
  •  Proven track record in e-commerce logistics, trade facilitation, or transport digitalization.
  •  Strong understanding of port operations, customs clearance, multimodal transport, and trade regulations in East Africa.
  •  Experience in managing cross-border logistics and technology-driven service models.
