Job Description/Requirements
Location: Mombasa
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Interaction:
- Greet and Assist Customers: Welcome customers to the store or sales outlet and assist them in finding products and services that meet their needs.
-Provide Information: Educate customers on Safaricom’s products and services, including mobile plans, devices, and promotions.
- Answer Queries: Address customer inquiries and provide clear, accurate information about products, pricing, features, and usage.
2. Sales and Upselling:
- Product Demonstration: Demonstrate the features and benefits of Safaricom products, including mobile phones, accessories, and data plans.
- Upselling: Encourage customers to consider additional products or higher-tier services that may better suit their needs.
- Closing Sales: Assist customers in making purchasing decisions, ensuring a smooth transaction process.
3. Product Knowledge:
- Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with the latest products, services, and promotions offered by Safaricom.
- Training: Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
4. Customer Service:
- Resolve Issues: Handle customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from supervisors if necessary.
- Follow-Up: Maintain a follow-up procedure to ensure customer satisfaction and inquire about post-purchase experiences.
5. Sales Administration:
- Maintain Records: Keep accurate sales records, including customer details, purchase information, and any relevant documentation.
- Reporting: Submit sales reports and provide feedback to supervisors on customer preferences and sales trends.
6. Store Maintenance:
- Merchandising: Help in organizing and maintaining product displays to keep the sales area attractive and functional.
- Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels, ensuring products are stocked appropriately, and reporting any shortages.
7. Promotional Activities:
- Participate in Campaigns: Engage in Safaricom’s promotional activities, such as in-store events, product launches, and marketing campaigns.
- Distribute Materials: Hand out promotional materials and brochures to inform customers about new offers and specials.
8. Team Collaboration:
- Work with Team Members: Collaborate with fellow sales associates and other team members to achieve collective sales targets and ensure a cohesive work environment.
- Support and Share Knowledge: Share knowledge and assist new team members in understanding products and customer service strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be considered for this exciting role, you should meet the following minimum criteria:
- Education: A minimum KCSE/High school Certificate
Core Competencies:
o Self-driven, dependable, and eager to learn.
o Proficiency in oral and written English.
o Commercial awareness of the retail industry is an added advantage.
