We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Business Developer to drive our expansion and cement our position as the market leader in recruitment service sales.

The Role

Based in Kampala the Business Developer is a core role responsible for rapid revenue growth by acquiring new client accounts and selling our tailored recruitment and HR solutions. You will be the face of Job Giant, building trusted partnerships with companies in need of exceptional talent acquisition services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Consultative Service Sales & Acquisition (The Hunter)

  • Strategic Outreach: Proactively identify, target, and initiate contact with key decision-makers (HR, C-Suite, Department Heads) within prospective client companies that require talent services.

  • Needs Assessment: Conduct in-depth discovery sessions to diagnose client staffing pain points, organizational challenges, and long-term talent needs, positioning Job Giant as a strategic partner.

  • Solution Design: Custom-develop and present compelling proposals for our comprehensive suite of recruitment services (Contingent, Retained Executive Search, Bulk Hiring, HR Advisory, etc.), clearly articulating the value and competitive edge of our solutions.

  • Pipeline Management: Expertly manage the entire sales lifecycle, from initial lead qualification through to closing signed service agreements and long-term contracts.

  • Target Achievement: Consistently meet and exceed ambitious service sales revenue and activity targets.

2. Relationship Building & Account Strategy

  • Client Advocacy: Act as the primary relationship owner during the sales phase, building deep trust and credibility to secure long-term service agreements.

  • Smooth Handoff: Ensure a seamless transition of newly sold accounts and complex requirements to the Recruitment Delivery team, remaining a key point of contact for service performance feedback and expansion opportunities.

  • Market Insight: Serve as a market expert, advising clients on current talent trends, salary benchmarks, and competitive recruitment strategies to maintain a consultative advantage.

3. Market Analysis & Growth

  • Service Expansion: Identify and explore opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell additional Job Giant services to existing and new clients.

  • Competitor Intelligence: Track competitor service offerings, pricing, and strategies to ensure Job Giant's value proposition remains superior.

  • Networking: Represent Job Giant at industry events and professional networking groups to generate high-quality service leads and build brand awareness.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of B2B business development experience with a focus on selling intangible professional services (e.g., Recruitment/Staffing, Consulting or HR Solutions).

  • Results-Driven: A verifiable track record of meeting and exceeding service sales quotas.

  • Skills: Superior negotiation, persuasion, and presentation skills, particularly in articulating the ROI of a service partnership.

  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) and MS Office Suite.

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
