Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role in Kampala for an Automotive Wiring Technician. The primary responsibilities will include installing, maintaining, and repairing automotive wiring systems for various types of vehicles. Daily tasks may involve troubleshooting electrical systems, diagnosing and resolving wiring issues, and ensuring compatibility of components with vehicle tracking and fleet management systems. The technician will also collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and high-quality work execution.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in automotive wiring, electrical repairs, and system diagnostics
  • Experience in installing and maintaining vehicle tracking systems and fleet management technology
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving for electrical and electronic systems
  • Knowledge in the installation and maintenance of car video tracking systems
  • Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards during installations and repairs
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant vocational training or technical certification in automotive electrical systems is preferred
  • Experience in the vehicle tracking or fleet management industry is an advantage
