Kampala Hospital is hiring a Team Leader – Credit Control & Client Relations to manage the hospital’s accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, effective reconciliations, and strong client engagement — particularly with insurance partners. The role requires sound financial judgment, excellent negotiation skills, and a commitment to maintaining positive business relationships while minimizing bad debts.

Department: Finance

Reports To: Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure billing accuracy and timely dispatch of invoices to all clients.

Negotiate pricing and payment terms with insurance companies and corporate partners.

Conduct regular ageing analyses, account reconciliations, and address variances promptly.

Issue customer statements and reminders, ensuring adherence to collection timelines.

Supervise and mentor the credit control and cashiering teams to meet individual and team KPIs.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash inflow forecasts and reports.

Maintain claim rejection levels below 4%.

Safeguard all client documentation and ensure strict confidentiality.

Deliver excellent customer service and uphold Kampala Hospital’s values and ethical standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

CPA or ACCA certification is an added advantage.

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in credit control, client relations, or financial management — preferably within the healthcare or insurance sector.

Key Competencies:

Strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective leadership and team management skills.

Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
