Quality Chemicals Industries Limited is hiring a Project Accountant to play a critical role in managing and monitoring financial activities related to Qcil’s factory construction project, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective budget control.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Monitor and control all financial transactions associated with the factory construction project.
Ensure accurate capitalization of construction-related expenses in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to validate completion milestones and certification processes.
Maintain organized records of all project expenditures, contracts, and approvals.
Prepare periodic financial reports and forecasts for management and stakeholders.
Reconcile project budgets against actual costs and investigate variances.
Support internal and external audits by ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Assist in preparing asset capitalization entries upon project completion.
Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (CPA or ACCA) is an added advantage.
3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to capital projects or construction.
Strong knowledge of capital expenditure accounting, asset recognition, and depreciation.
Familiarity with construction project workflows, including certification and completion protocols.
Understanding of tax treatment for construction expenses, including VAT, withholding tax, and capital allowances.
Proficiency in SAP ERP and advanced Excel and Power BI skills for data analysis and reporting.
Excellent organizational, documentation, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Project management experience or certification is an added advantage.
