The Bible Society of Uganda is hiring a Finance Manager responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies, overseeing accounting operations, and managing the organization’s assets to provide accurate financial information that supports effective decision-making.

Essential qualification requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or related field is required. A Masters’ degree or a relevant MBA is an added advantage.

Full professional qualification in CPA or ACCA and a Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Financial Management and Auditing.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, Financial Markets, Banking and financial reporting.

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources.

Understanding of relevant national laws and government regulations.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively:

Strong IT skills with experience using ERP systems..

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise departmental operations and establish effective structures and processes to achieve goals.

Prepare, implement, and monitor the organization’s Annual Budget, cash flows, and financial plans.

Oversee financial reporting, project accounting, and preparation of accurate financial statements and committee reports.

Manage investments, property, and credit extensions while ensuring timely fulfillment of financial obligations.

Support pricing decisions for Scriptures and evaluate competitor pricing.

Formulate strategic and financial policies that promote cost efficiency, value for money, and long-term sustainability.

Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders.
