East African Carbon Company is hiring a highly skilled

Finance Analyst

to play a key role in the financial structuring and economic evaluation of carbon projects across Uganda. This role supports project feasibility, investment decision-making, benefit-sharing transparency, and long-term project sustainability. The Finance Analyst will work closely with project managers, carbon methodology experts, and community engagement teams to ensure that financial models reflect the true cost, revenue potential, and risk profile of each carbon project.

Key Responsibilities

Select and adapt approved carbon accounting methodologies for project feasibility.

Develop financial models for project feasibility studies (CAPEX, OPEX, IRR, NPV, payback).

Conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis for carbon price, issuance risk, and operational costs.

Support the preparation of investment decks and financing structures.

Forecast carbon credit issuance and revenue streams based on baselines and methodologies.

Provide input to benefit-sharing arrangements, ensuring financial flows to communities and government align with EACC’s obligations and Uganda’s Climate Change Regulations.

Prepare and monitor project budgets and expenditure forecasts.

Support financial reporting and audits in line with IFRS and obligations under the GoU Agreement.

Assist in cost optimization and cash flow management for multi-year carbon project portfolios.

Assess financial risks, including delivery shortfalls, price volatility, and non-permanence buffers.
