Cycling out of Poverty Foundation (CooP-Uganda) is hiring a Field Coordinator – Jinja a highly motivated, organized, and accurate Field Coordinator to be based in Jinja, spending 90% of their time on field coordination and 10% in either the bicycle tour guide or cleaning section (applicant to specify preference in motivation letter).

Key Responsibilities:

Community Engagement & Mobilization

Facilitate community meetings and sensitization sessions for bicycle programs.

Liaise with district offices, schools, and community representatives for smooth program delivery.

Support donor and leadership visits to program sites.

Program Implementation

Identify and engage beneficiaries for bicycle programs based on selection criteria.

Coordinate bicycle distribution and conduct training sessions.

Ensure accurate documentation and data collection in the field and office.

Build beneficiary capacity for sustainability.

Execute project plans and coordinate logistics with partners and officials.

Program Development

Identify community needs for bicycle programs.

Contribute to strategy development, including log frames and implementation plans.

Provide feedback to improve program delivery and incorporate learnings into future planning.

Monitoring & Evaluation

Conduct follow-up visits to assess bicycle usage and impact.

Track activities via apps and collect/report field data using digital or paper-based tools.

Identify challenges and suggest improvements.

Requirements:

Passion for cycling and conservation (able to ride 15 km easily).

Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Fluency in English, Luganda, and Lusoga.

Diploma in community development, project management, or related social sciences.

Minimum 2 years of professional experience.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.
