KCB Bank is hiring a Data Base Administrator with the following responsibilities;

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Manage and support high performance, highly available and mission critical database platforms for the Core Banking, NOBS, Channels and other systems.

2) Review and design database structures to support business requirements including logical and physical database modelling and provide detailed documentation on data model design and implementation

3) Install, configure and maintain database instances, creates various database objects, create users with appropriate roles and levels of security.

4) Implement database security policies that are consistent with laid security guidelines and implement best practices and incorporate them in DBA procedures.

5) Implement and perform database backup and recovery strategies that meet recovery and availability requirements and determine appropriateness of data for storage and optimum storage organization.

6) Manage and support Enterprise Data warehouse including the development of reports from the data warehouse platform.

7) Perform complex analyses and reviews applications being released into production.

8) Develop and oversees the implementation of test application code in client server environments to ensure that software conforms to build management practices.

9) Work with the development, testing, and support teams to provide design guidelines and impact analysis

10) Effectively collaborate with other Operations and Support team to resolve performance and design issues

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

a). Academic & Professional

Bachelor’s Degree Bachelor Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field is required.

Professional Qualifications ITIL OCP/OCA/ORACLE

Master’s Degree MSC (Technology or Business)

b). Experience

Minimum of three (3) years in Oracle/Database Administration, Unix/Data mining/Data warehousing and Core Banking Systems
