Description
Medical Teams is hiring a Communications Graduate Volunteer to work closely with field communication focal persons to capture, document and develop communications around project activities. This role also works closely with the HQ Brand and Communications team to cultivate content to be published in Medical Teams brand, marketing and fundraising channels, as well as ensure proper branding of visibility materials.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, International Relations, or a related field (graduated within the past 2 years).
- Experience (including internships or volunteering) in communications, or related fields is an added advantage.
- Photography, videography, or basic graphic design skills are desirable.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of current theories and practices in communication research, planning and strategy, and the role of mass media
- Knowledge of how to present information to different audiences.
SKILLS
- Excellent English communication skills; highly articulate verbally and in writing
- Skilled in conducting interviews and managing relationships with media representatives and other stakeholders.
- Proven writing and editing skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Graphic design skills are an added advantage.
- Photography and/or video skills are preferred.
- Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Skilled at producing writing products for professional publications.
ABILITIES
- Ability to exercise considerable initiative to plan, organize and follow through to meet deadlines.
- Ability to be flexible and manage stress, especially in situations which require a high degree of sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy.
- Ability to act with integrity and maintain the highest ethical standards.
- Ability to support Medical Teams Calling and adhere to the Medical Teams Code of Conduct
