Job Summary
TASLAF Advocates invites applications for its Legal Graduate Trainee Programme from law graduates who have recently completed or are completing the Bar Course at the Law Development Centre (LDC). The programme is designed to provide practical exposure in a fast-growing corporate and commercial law !rm handling diverse and high-impact legal matters, while equipping trainees with strong foundational skills for professional legal practice.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Outstanding academic track record both at ordinary and advanced levels of secondary school education;
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) Degree with a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division from a recognized university;
- Strong work ethic; ambitious and highly driven;
- Demonstrated leadership potential;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Highly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn;
- Results-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines;
- Demonstrated interest in Climate Finance, ESG, and sustainability practices, with an understanding of legal issues relating to the technology, construction, and insurance sectors.
Technical Competencies
- Legal research and case analysis skills
- Basic legal dra"ing and document review skills
- Understanding of corporate and commercial law principles
- Knowledge of legal compliance and regulatory requirements
- Ability to prepare legal opinions, briefs, and memoranda under supervision
- Familiarity with court procedures and !ling processes
- Basic understanding of contract dra"ing and interpretation
- Ability to conduct due diligence and document veri!cation
- Pro!ciency in Microso" Word, Excel, and legal documentation tools
- Strong attention to detail and document management skills

Duration
The Graduate Traineeship Programme will run for a period of three (3) months. Outstanding performance during the traineeship may be considered for future engagement, subject to the !rm’s needs and performance evaluation.
