Are you an assertive, structured, and people-driven HR leader looking to make real impact in a vibrant media organisation?

We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager to support and guide our teams across TV, radio, digital, production, and creative departments.

This role requires a strategic professional who thrives in dynamic environments and can balance compliance, culture-building, and operational excellence.

1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
● Lead full-cycle recruitment for all departments.
● Develop and execute strategic hiring plans to meet organisational growth needs.
● Manage onboarding and orientation programmes ensuring new hires integrate smoothly.
● Maintain talent pipelines and ensure staffing levels meet production deadlines.

2. Employee Relations & Culture Management
● Promote a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven work environment.
● Act as a trusted advisor to staff and management on HR matters, conflict resolution, and employee concerns.
● Facilitate team-building programmes, wellness initiatives, and engagement activities tailored to media teams.

3. HR Policies, Disciplinary Procedures & Compliance
● Implement, enforce, and continuously update HR policies in alignment with organisational objectives.
● Lead disciplinary processes, ensuring fairness, due process, and documentation.
● Ensure full compliance with Kenyan Labour Laws, HR best practices, and regulatory standards.
● Oversee contract management, renewal processes, and staff exit procedures.

4. Performance Management & Staff Development
● Manage the annual performance review cycle and ensure KPIs are aligned with departmental workflows.
● Provide coaching, feedback structures, and development plans for staff.
● Identify skills gaps and coordinate training, workshops, and learning interventions.

5. HR Operations & Reporting
● Oversee HR administration, including leave management, employee files and payroll coordination.
● Produce timely HR reports covering headcount, turnover, recruitment, and employee relations trends.
● Ensure efficient documentation, audits, and compliance tracking.

Qualifications & Requirements
Academic & Professional
● Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
● CHRP-K or a relevant HR certification is an added advantage.
● Strong, working knowledge of Kenya Labour Laws

Experience
● Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in fast-paced, deadline-driven sectors such as media, entertainment, tech, or FMCG.
● Proven track record in handling disciplinary cases, investigations, and conflict resolution.
● Experience supporting creative teams or multi-department organisations is highly desired.

Skills & Competencies
● Strong leadership, structure, and accountability—able to set clear expectations and follow through.
● Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
● Strong organisational and planning abilities with high attention to detail.
● Ability to balance empathy with firmness when handling staff issues.
● High integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in dealing with sensitive information.
