Job Summary

The successful candidate will play a key role in employee relations, payroll support, compliance, reporting, and day-to-day HR operations, while upholding the values of professionalism, confidentiality, and service excellence that guide the insurance industry.

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee queries and escalate complex issues appropriately.
  • Support the implementation of employee engagement activities, welfare programs, and HR communication.
  • Assist in handling employee grievances, disciplinary processes, and documentation in line with Kenyan labour laws and company policy.
  • Maintain an up-to-date log of employee concerns and resolutions to support positive workplace culture.
  • Coordinate exit interviews and document employee feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Collect, verify, and submit payroll inputs—new hires, exits, overtime, leave updates, statutory changes, and salary amendments.
  • Maintain accurate and updated employee records to ensure error-free payroll processing.
  • Support reconciliation of payroll-related reports and address payroll queries.
  • Prepare HR letters, contracts, notices, and staff communication.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding to guarantee a seamless employee experience.
  • Update HR databases, attendance sheets, and leave management systems.
  •      Post vacancies, screen CVs, schedule interviews, and conduct reference checks.
  •     Prepare interview materials and assist in candidate communication.
  • Assist in enforcing HR policies and procedures across departments.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • CHRP certification or ongoing pursuit is an added advantage.
  • 2 years’ experience in HR, ideally in the insurance or financial services sector.
  • Knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
