Background atoto is seeking to recruit a Dental Nurse to deliver quality and efficient dental services on the Watoto Children's villages. Key Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to). Deliver nursing care to dental patients in accordance with Watoto Medical Services protocols and Uganda National Nursing guidelines. Conduct appropriate triage of dental patients, and provide emergency treatment as needed. Furnish patients with post-operative instructions for oral care following surgery or dental procedures. Maintain accurate and comprehensive reporting records in accordance with Watoto Medical Services and Ministry of Health guidelines. Ensure timely placement of drug orders and maintain clear accountability for prescribed medications. Dispense prescribed medicines appropriately to dental patients and keep accurate records of drug stocks in the dental clinic. Uphold diligent standards of sterility and infection control within the dental clinic Maintain a patient and family-centred approach in all interactions with patients and their families. Provide assistance to dentists during dental procedures. Conduct and promote standardised oral health education sessions for Watoto clients. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience. The applicant for the role should hold at least a Diploma in nursing. Must be a registered practitioner with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council. At least two years' experience in dental practice. Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to children of all ages. Passionate about community health care with the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Commitment to working within standardised guidelines.
