Job Description/Requirements
- Prepare and bake pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods according to recipes and quality standards
- Develop and test new pastry recipes and menu items
- Decorate and present desserts with attention to detail and visual appeal
- Monitor ingredient inventory and minimize waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to coordinate production schedules
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section and equipment
- Plan, prepare, and execute high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specification
- Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation standards
- Develop new recipes and seasonal menus that reflect creativity and customer preferences
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma in Culinary Arts, Baking, or Pastry preferred
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or Cook in a professional kitchen
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and flavor combinations
- In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Creativity and attention to detail in presentation and flavor
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
