Job Summary
The Vehicle Sales Manager will be responsible for managing route sales operations, supervising Vehicle Salesmen (VSMs), ensuring proper market coverage, driving sales volume, and maintaining compliance with company and EABL standards.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Market Execution
· Drive daily sales performance and ensure achievement of route sales targets.
· Support VSMs in achieving numeric distribution, visibility, and pricing compliance.
· Ensure proper execution of promotions, activations, and product availability in all outlets.
2. Route Management & Coverage
· Oversee route planning and adherence to journey plans.
· Ensure all routes are covered fully and efficiently.
· Identify market gaps, new outlets, and opportunities to grow brand presence.
3. Vehicle Sales Team Supervision
· Supervise, guide, and motivate Vehicle Salesmen.
· Conduct regular market accompaniments to monitor performance and capability.
· Enforce discipline, time management, and compliance with company policies.
4. Customer Relationship Management
· Build positive relationships with retailers, stockists, and key outlet owners.
· Resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly.
· Ensure proper order-taking, invoicing, and delivery reconciliation.
5. Reporting & Documentation
· Prepare daily and weekly sales reports.
· Track route profitability, returns, stock levels, and outstanding payments.
· Ensure accurate documentation, delivery notes, and reconciliations.
6. Compliance & Operational Discipline
· Enforce adherence to pricing guidelines, product handling standards, and market protocols.
· Ensure vehicle safety, cleanliness, and compliance with transport regulations.
· Maintain zero tolerance for misconduct, including drunkenness and route fraud.
Qualifications & Skills
· Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales, distribution, FMCG, or route-to-market operations.
· Must be able to drive and hold a valid driving licence (Class BCE/Commercial preferred).
· Strong supervisory and communication skills.
· Excellent knowledge of Thika and surrounding routes.
· High integrity, strong customer service orientation, and attention to detail.
· Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Basic proficiency in MS Office and/or ERP systems is an added advantage.
