Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a wide range of Ugandan local dishes including matooke, posho, mpombo, kalo, cassava, and others.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety.
  • Assist with menu improvement and suggestions for local dish variations.
  • Work efficiently in a busy and fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff and follow established procedures.
  • Uphold the restaurant’s values, quality expectations, and consistency.
  • Be ready and flexible to work on short notice when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Cook in a busy, reputable restaurant.
  • Strong mastery of Ugandan cuisines, particularly traditional local dishes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistent quality.
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and uphold the restaurant’s culture.
