Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a wide range of Ugandan local dishes including matooke, posho, mpombo, kalo, cassava, and others.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety.
- Assist with menu improvement and suggestions for local dish variations.
- Work efficiently in a busy and fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff and follow established procedures.
- Uphold the restaurant’s values, quality expectations, and consistency.
- Be ready and flexible to work on short notice when required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Cook in a busy, reputable restaurant.
- Strong mastery of Ugandan cuisines, particularly traditional local dishes.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistent quality.
- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and uphold the restaurant’s culture.
