Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present a variety of stews and local dishes to the highest standards.
- Suggest and implement menu improvements and seasonal additions.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and food quality.
- Lead kitchen staff and foster teamwork and discipline.
- Work closely with management to uphold the restaurant’s values and culinary identity.
- Operate efficiently in a fast-paced, rotational work schedule.
- Support smooth kitchen operations through hands-on involvement and problem-solving.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a reputable restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of Ugandan local cuisines and stews. Creative, organized, and detail oriented.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Eager to learn, adapt, and align with the restaurant’s culture.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and deliver consistent results.
