JOB OVERVIEW:

The Anchoring and Mooring Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of all mooring systems, ensuring that platforms and cages are securely positioned in accordance with the standard hardware requirements.

KEY DUTIES:

  1. Mooring System Installation & Maintenance
  • Oversee the proper installation of mooring systems for platforms and cages.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure mooring integrity.
  • Implement corrective actions for any identified issues in anchoring systems.
  1. Platform & Cage Security
  • Ensure all cages and platforms are securely anchored in compliance with operational standards.
  • Monitor structural stability and adjust mooring configurations as needed.
  1. Hardware & Equipment Management
  • Ensure proper selection and use of mooring hardware, including anchors, buoys, and ropes.
  • Maintain inventory and request replacements or upgrades when necessary.
  1. Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure all anchoring and mooring activities comply with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and enforce safety protocols for the team.
  1. Team Supervision & Training
  • Lead and train staff involved in mooring operations.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for securing cages and platforms.
  1. Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain detailed records of mooring installations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare reports on the condition of mooring systems and recommend improvements.
  1. Do any other tasks as instructed by the supervisor or line manager

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors in fisheries or aquaculture, aquatic studies or other related fields.
  • Two years’ experience in diving operations.
  • Must understand that this is a job that you are working on water most of the time.
  • Must be able to swim
  • Should be physically fit
