Background A leading national umbrella organisation in the tourism and hospitality ecosystem is seeking an experienced, visionary, and influential Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to drive strategic direction, strengthen institutional performance, and represent the private sector voice at national and international levels. This is a high-impact leadership role for a seasoned executive with experience in strategy, stakeholder engagement, policy advocacy, corporate governance, and organisational transformation. Role Purpose The CEO will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, strengthening organisational relevance, driving advocacy priorities, and ensuring effective execution of the long- and short-term plans. The role includes managing day-to-day operations, overseeing governance and compliance, coordinating with stakeholders, and positioning the organisation as a key national and regional leader in the tourism sector. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Organisational Leadership Develop and execute long-term and annual strategies that align with the organisation’s mission and growth objectives. Lead organisational restructuring, rebranding, and innovation initiatives. Allocate budgets strategically and ensure financial discipline. Governance, Compliance & Performance Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards, legal requirements, and internal policies. Establish strong internal controls and management information systems. Oversee all operations to guarantee achievement of strategic targets. Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy Act as the primary liaison between the Executive Committee, industry members, government authorities, development partners, and the public. Represent the organisation at key functions, industry platforms, and national consultations. Build and maintain trusted relationships with partners and stakeholders. Communication, Reporting & Institutional Visibility Communicate regularly and effectively with members, partners, and stakeholders. Prepare reports, minutes, newsletters, policy briefs, and project proposals. Oversee and update institutional digital platforms and communication channels. Team Leadership & Culture Building Motivate and guide a high-performing management team. Promote a culture of integrity, excellence, and collaboration. Provide oversight and direction to staff to ensure alignment with strategy. Key Deliverables Effective execution of the strategic plan. Strong institutional visibility and sector influence.
