WATOTO CHILDCARE MINISTRIES
Overview
Watoto Childcare Ministries is an organization founded by Watoto Church in Uganda that provides holistic care for orphaned and vulnerable children and women, primarily through a family-based model in children’s villages. Initiated in 1994 in response to the HIV/AIDS crisis, the ministry operates villages with schools, medical centers, and farms, offers formal and vocational education, and gives medical, emotional, and spiritual support. It is also internationally known for its performing Watoto Children’s Choirs, which tour to raise awareness and funds.
