SPOUTS International
Overview
SPOUTS is a social venture that manufactures and distributes affordable and effective ceramic water filters – the Purifaaya – to improve the access to clean drinking water in Sub-Saharan Africa. SPOUTS combines innovation in both product and distribution to provide a much needed and sustainable clean water solution. The mission of SPOUTS is to provide long-term access to safe drinking water to all Africans. That mission is achieved by diversified distribution channels focusing on both commercial and Carbon-related initiatives. Since its first sale, SPOUTS has distributed close to 150,000 Purifaaya filters providing over 800,000 end-users with long-term access to safe drinking water. SPOUTS currently has operations in both Uganda and Rwanda and it is looking to start in operations across Sub-Saharan Africa in the future.
