AgriTech Solutions Specialist

The AgriTech Solutions Specialist supports the deployment and adoption of digital and technological innovations that improve farming efficiency and profitability. This includes tools like soil sensors, mobile apps for weather forecasts, digital marketplaces, and precision farming equipment. The specialist works closely with farmers, agronomists, and technology developers to tailor solutions to local contexts and maximize impact.

The role involves training farmers on technology use, troubleshooting field challenges, collecting user feedback, and collaborating with product teams to refine features. By bridging the gap between technology and traditional farming, this position helps drive agricultural transformation and food security across diverse African regions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site training and demonstrations of AgriTech products.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot technology issues for farmers.
• Gather feedback to improve product usability and relevance.
• Work with agronomists to integrate technology with best agricultural practices.
• Collaborate with product developers to tailor solutions to local needs.
• Support data collection and analysis to measure impact and adoption rates.

Qualifications

• Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, ICT4D, or related field.
• 2+ years experience in agriculture, technology deployment, or rural development.
• Strong communication and technical training skills.
• Familiarity with farming systems and rural community dynamics in Africa.
• Ability to work independently and in multicultural settings.
